Apple has made no comment about it on how widespread the ‘bug’, but confirmed its existence on Sunday. That same day, the Cupertino released a software update intended to Verizon customers.
Apple confirms on its support page, this update “addresses an issue where, under certain circumstances, the iPhone 5 can use Verizon’s mobile data while the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi,” says Apple. Following the instructions on the support site, users can stop this error on your new device.
For now Verizon is the only carrier that has this problem but some users have also experienced this ‘bug’ in the company’s iPhone 5 AT & T, although it has made statements.
